The Invisible Leader.

[ 1 ] August 12, 2008 | Milan Ford

Saw a quote the other day here that really inspired me. Trying now to frame an entire article for two different publications based upon it.

The quote: “A leader is best when people barely know he exists, when his work is done, his aim fulfilled, they will say: we did it ourselves.” Lao Tzu

Thinking of calling the article: The Invisible Leader. If more leaders were comfortable in being invisible, there’s no telling what we could do for God. Just in case a few of you are struggling in that area, there may be hope.

  1. Great subject and article.
Being a study of eastern Philosophy and lifestyles for over thirty years I am familiar with Lao Tzu and have adapted my life around his teachings. Unfortunately I don’t see our western mind-sets adopting it anytime soon to any degree to make a difference. Our modern Western Society is far too self-motivated for such a stance, and the aggression we instill in trying to adopt our churches after today’s fortune 500 corporations is both stifling and counter-productive to Gods mandate. That was the aire in the temple that caused Christ to destroy the market place there. It will however be interesting to see what our modern church turns into as we modern people search for answers that only God that can provide.
