George War.

[ 2 ] February 3, 2009 | Milan Ford

Thought this video was extremely funny.

And one that perfectly describes the private war that goes on within me every day. And a number of other leaders I know.

Today’s social media outlets can create two George(s) within us all. Not to mention the safety bubbles we love to stay in. Wish we could adopt the Relationship George Model more than we typically do now.

This is so true it’s almost not funny. It’s amazing how God works. I beleive both Relationship George and Independent George can coexsist. I beleive that sometimes you have to stand and move alone, but only through the leading, direction, and power of the the Holy Spirit.
I think most leaders are challenged with the ultimate risk to enter into relationship with others and all that it intels. I was reminded in my initial coaching session yesterday that … As you nurture the ultimate relationship with God you will be able to withstand, risk, and engage in ultimate relationship with others.
To remain completely unique (different than independence- meaning you’re not dependent on others)as God created you while relating to others is, I believe, His plan for us.
The key to the perfect balance of the two is…well…in realtionship with the one who created us,Jesus. I try to live in truth to myself(even when it hurts), others (even when they don’t- in love of course)and God(he is truth-so we’re good).
Thanks for the opportunity to share on this topic. I feel ten pounds lighter -sorry if it didn’t help you :) I’m good!

Oh Wow! that was a well written and acted out expression of my daily struggle with splintering, or maybe better yet fragmenting, or maybe better yet, schizo…..?or maybe better yet the human struggle to be in control of all things at all times when we have only the control to give it to God.
The best thing of it is when we yield to God’s control all fragments of indecisions and struggles come together in such peace and rest and then we see that the wholeness of it was there all the time….
all the time…..the whole time. We just couldn’t see it because of the torn pieces of ourselves. that was great writing and acting at it’s best.
