I appreciate the passion of Jessica’s comment posted here. But my peace is this…Let us remember that God is sovereign. He alone has the power to shift, move, appoint, change, create, judge…. Let us not condemn a man who, just like us, can be “changed”, “moved” “shifted”, “molded” at any moment in time if God so chooses–this goes for Obama and McCain. One will win, but of course we know the only true win in this election is a Jesus Solution. But I judge neither one of them. My prayer for each is that he is “becoming”, for I know that Jesus died for both of them just like He died for you and me. Obama announced in one of the debates, “nobody is for abortion.”
But there are so many issues we can’t afford to focus in on just one. Pray for the Holy Spirit to radically transform Obama’s mindset to line up with Christ…on all the issues. Pray for the Holy Spirit to radically transform McCain’s mindset to line up with Christ…on all the issues. One of them will win. Both of them are still our leaders. And as for the new generation of leaders being free from scars…I partially agree.

“Free from Scars” – you can’t be serious! Have they not read Obama’s bio? I can see why the scripture says, “If it were possible, even the most elect will be deceived.” His associations alone should have us running scared. I almost laughed out loud or should I say, cried out loud, when they stated, “a new generation of leaders”. Of course, we are in the timeframe of change, but at what expense and for whose purposes, surely not for God’s glory. However, I do believe that whomever takes office in the upcoming year, it will be according to God’s plan and His purpose on this earth; one I am afraid that won’t be to the liking of the people. Reminds me of the Israelites when they demanded a king – wasn’t God’s choice but was used for His purposes.
Tell me something – what real Christian would vote for a platform that not only supports ‘abortion’ but one of the most inhumane procedures known to man – PARTIAL BIRTH ABORTION. I guess it is about time for God to bring another Nebuchadnezzar on the scene to wake up His people.
When will we ever truly start seeking God instead of our own selfish ways. We think we know best and have all the answers – seems to me that is what happened to the most beautiful angel and because mankind believed his lies, look where we are – supporting leadership that supports taking the lives of innocent babies.
