Dessert For Two.

[ 2 ] January 5, 2010 | Milan Ford

It is a known fact that I love (and only eat) plain cheesecake. My wife Imani (on the other hand) does not. In fact, she doesn’t like plain cheesecake at all.

So when deciding on which assortment of cheesecake slices we would get from the grocery store the other day, the decision (after about 20 minutes of negotiations) became obvious. However, it is unfortunate to know that many married couples struggle with that decision every night before exploring intimacy.

Husbands: When it comes to dessert (especially the intimate kind)…
…let’s make sure our wives are satisfied.

When we discover that God has uniquely designed us (as men) to be goal-oriented, and not journey oriented, it enables us to know the difference between just having sex and having a true intimate encounter with our wives. Our desires must mature from seeking pleasure, to becoming a source of pleasure.

For when they do, we both win.
