Absalom.
There are times when I feel like Absalom.
Not to be confused with this Absalom.
It happens every time I see the speaker listing for a major ministry leadership conference.
Especially one that is geared to reach leaders who have a genuine desire to serve and make a lasting impact for the cause of Christ within this generation.
Sometimes I wonder if the only place affirmative action was really needed was inside the four walls of the church.
Just ask St. George Methodist Church what can happen if attendance is allowed, but participation is not.
I doubt they will ever forget the winter of 1787. That was the year that Absalom had had enough.

Richard Allen also had had enough.
maybe you should identify with a different clergyman then… like William J. Seymour.

All Pentecostals in this country can trace their beginnings back to this mighty man of God.
besides.. affirmative action in the church would only bring more division and hypocrisy…. what is needed is not AA, what is needed is Unity! and Unity has no color.
