A Lion Of A Quote.
Over the Labor Day holiday weekend, I got a chance to watch a movie entitled, Lions For Lambs, starring Meryl Streep, Tom Cruise, and Robert Redford (who also served as the film’s director). In summary, Lions For Lambs is about the connection between a platoon of United States soldiers in Afghanistan, a U.S. senator, a reporter, and a California college professor.
I’m sure you’ll agree that’s quite a few connections for one movie…
…but Redford seemed to pull it all off beautifully.
There was a quote near the beginning of the film that kept ringing in my head the entire weekend.
One that has enormous implications for us as followers of Christ, and leaders of that which He loves so dearly, the local church. Here it is:
“Never engage the same enemy for too long, or he will adapt to your tactics.”
I encourage you to consider putting this strategy into practice today. It’s a pretty good one.
