34.
This Sunday, February 14th, I will turn 34 years old.
That’s right; I was born on Valentine’s Day.
Sharing a birthday with a day that so many around the world take time out to demonstrate their love and affection for someone significant in their life has always been an interesting experience. One that I truly believe helped to condition a pattern of behavior within me growing up.
Unlike most of my friends and peers, who celebrate their birthday by RECEIVING gifts of love, my birthday was one that I not only was able to RECEIVE, but compelled to GIVE to others as well, which at times, helped to neutralized that exchange and prohibit me from ever having one of those IT’S-ALL-ABOUT-ME birthdays.
So in keeping up with this annual tradition, I would be honored if you could help me celebrate my birthday by supporting my brother Shaun King, lead pastor of Courageous Church (located here in Atlanta, Georgia), with a brand new initiative he has begun called AHOMEINHAITI.ORG.
He is leading a very unique effort to provide several thousand tents for the people of Haiti, who in just a few short weeks, will be entering that region’s rainy season. Which as you can imagine, will only add to the recovery challenges they are experiencing as a result of last month’s devastating earthquake.

Thanks for helping me celebrate my birthday.
Going to make YEAR 34 my best yet.

Thanks for posting this! I’m going to see how many tents my church will purchase through this program.
Thanks again for sharing!
